A horse named Tucson recently sunk into a deep, muddy hole, struggling to escape for several hours in southern California. Upon hearing of the incident, the San Diego Humane Society dispatched an emergency response team to free Tucson from his dire situation.
During the rescue, the volunteers working to save the horse’s life attached him to ropes and gently encouraged the visibly-fearful animal to help pull himself out of the mud. Eventually, he rose to his feet.
Tucson received treatment for dehydration and minor injuries, but the veterinarians expect him to fully recover.
Thank you to the San Diego Humane Society for their quick thinking and heroic effort to save this poor horse.
