Earlier this week, firefighters in Suffolk County, Long Island rescued a tiny kitten who was stuck in a steel fence pole.
The kitten was discovered around 7:45 on Saturday morning by a mother and her son, who summoned the help of the Central Islip Fire Department.
Crews freed the kitten after arriving at the scene, and the feline was taken to a local animal hospital for an examination.
In this video, the distressed animal can be heard shrieking as firefighters work to rescue them. The kitten is lucky to have been discovered, especially given the hot summer temperatures in the area. Otherwise, they most certainly would not have survived.
Thankfully, this story seems like it will have a happy ending. Once the kitty is deemed healthy, it probably won’t take long to find a forever home; numerous offers of adoption have already poured in, according to News 12 Long Island.

A very big thank you to all who helped.
