Lady Freethinker recently helped fund plans for a shelter for rescued twin cows, Titus and Tabitha, at the Happy Compromise Farm + Sanctuary (HCF+S) through the Urgent Need Fund grant program.

Now, the structure is complete, and the twins have a cozy new spot to call home.

HCF+S worked hard to prepare the shelter for the young cows by installing gates on the inside, a solar panel, and a Jackery box on the roof to help heat the cows’ waterer. They also added plastic strips to help keep the space warm and put the shelter on a new gravel pad with a liner underneath so rain and mud will stay out.

“This space has been a game changer and we couldn’t be more grateful!” said Eryn Leavens, HCF+S’s co-founder and executive director.

We at Lady Freethinker are so grateful to YOU and all our members and supporters for helping make this safe space happen! It’s because of your support that we were able to help these cows, and we couldn’t be more appreciative.
