A man from Iowa has been arrested and charged for his alleged involvement in distributing horrific videos of monkey torture. It is the latest arrest in a string of recent charges across Indonesia, the U.K., and the U.S.
Philip Colt Moss, an attorney from Des Moines, faces federal charges for conspiracy to create and share animal crush videos. This arrest follows the recent charges against an Ohio man – Nicholas T. Dryden – and New Jersey man Giancarlo Morelli. Moss was arrested in connection with this case.
Conspirators in this online group allegedly discussed sadistic ideas for videos of monkeys being sexually abused and tortured. The U.S. Department of Justice asserts that the conspirators sent money through Dryden to a minor in Indonesia, who was paid to carry out the abuse.
“The videos alleged to have been created as part of the conspiracy included depictions of monkeys having their genitals burned, having their genitals cut with scissors, being sodomized with a wooden skewer and being sodomized with a spoon,” according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice about the case.
Lady Freethinker (LFT) and Action for Primates (AfP) have been investigating the sickening world of monkey torture since 2021. These investigations have led to some justice for animals – including an Ohio teacher who recently pleaded guilty for his involvement in creating and sharing baby monkey torture videos. LFT and AfP provided evidence to authorities regarding the group led by him, known as “Milliontears.”
Monkeys are intelligent animals who feel pain, fear, joy, curiosity, and other emotions – just like humans. The abuse of innocent, infant monkeys is highly disturbing and cannot be ignored. LFT and AfP welcome prosecution of anyone involved in funding, promoting, or conducting animal torture.
