In the latest episode of Lady Freethinker’s (LFT) Activists in Action interview series, LFT founder Nina Jackel talks to vegan activist and artist Christopher “Soul” Eubanks.

Beginning his journey to veganism at 13 years old, Soul Eubanks fully committed to climate, human, and animal rights activism after he quit his job and went through a period of self-discovery in 2014.

“Once I saw that I was participating in the oppression of animals on such a large and massive scale, it really made me emboldened to speak out and speak up,” Soul Eubanks told Nina Jackel in the interview, “to really amplify animals’ voices.”

As an avid photographer, Soul Eubanks uses his creativity to help animals and promote veganism. Through his animal sanctuary gallery, he highlights the beauty of all animals, including pigs, cows, turkeys, and others.

With the current coronavirus pandemic, activism outreach has been more difficult. But the future is bright for Soul Eubanks, and he can’t wait to get back to educating people about how veganism benefits animals, people, and our planet.

“With COVID-19, I haven’t been able to do as many lectures, talks, and presentations to colleges, universities, and businesses,” Soul Eubanks said. “But that’s something I want to do more of in the next year. So, I’m working on creating a group of lectures that I can present to help [activists] develop [their] skills, and just educate them about the things that happen to animals and just empower them to be better activists.”
