Grammy-award-winning singer and songwriter Billie Eilish is teaming up with her mom, Maggie Baird, to give back to those in need on a brand new Amazon Prime vegan cooking series, New Day New Chef: Support and Feed Edition. The show, hosted by vegan super-journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell, highlights the work of chefs, celebrities, and plant-based restaurant owners who are feeding the less fortunate with the help of Baird’s non-profit organization, Support and Feed. Support and Feed‘s mission is to provide nutritious vegan meals to children’s charities, senior centers, domestic abuse and homeless shelters, and food banks in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and New York.
“New Day New Chef bringing these chefs and celebrities together is a great way to focus on these wonderful restaurants, and the nourishing and delicious food they are providing to those in need through Support and Feed,” said Baird. “A plant-based diet is so important for the health of our communities and our planet. I hope this show and these chefs will inspire people because there is no better day to start than today.”
Filmed during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the series is hosted remotely from Velez-Mitchell’s L.A. home. Robotic cameras record the charity’s day-to-day operations, sit-down interviews, and guest appearances by celebrities, which include Billie Eilish, Finneas, supermodel Joanna Krupa, CSI‘s Jorja Fox, Lost‘s Emilie de Raven, and American Idol’s Mark Thompson.
Top vegan chefs from Los Angeles — Sage Bistro’s Mollie Engelhart, SunCafe’s Ron Russell, and Pura Vita’s Tara Punzone — share their delicious recipes on the show, which are also available at the New Day New Chef website.

You have a great mom, Billy eilish and Jane Velez-Mitchell you’ve always been my hero miss you on CNN
Thank you so much. What a great service and compassion for the needed and the animals. I have to believe that the world is becoming more and more evolved in a way of a clear conscience and gentle thoughts towards our animal friends. It is slow becoming but surely greed and cruelty to animals will always lose…always.
