When his ailing guardian in Buyukada Island, Turkey, had to be taken to the hospital, a loyal golden retriever followed, running behind the vehicle the entire way.
The dog had remained with his caretaker while paramedics treated her in her home, according to the New York Post. But when first responders decided to rush the patient to the emergency room, the dog wasn’t allowed on the ambulance due to health policies.
Undeterred, the loyal pup trailed behind the ambulance on foot. He then waited outside the hospital, refusing to leave until he was reunited with his guardian.
This inspirational story truly shows how unbreakable the bond between dogs and people can be.
Earlier this year, a dog named Boncuk also ran away from home and waited outside a hospital in Turkey until nightfall every day, hoping to see her guardian. The pair was reunited after six days.
