When this rabbit realized its kitten friend was trapped inside a shed, it began digging frantically into the ground around the structure in an effort to free its feline pal.
In this adorable video, the trapped kitten extends its paw through the hole dug out by its rabbit buddy. The rabbit continues to dig until the kitten finds a way out.
Finally, the kitten squeezes through the hole, emerging from the confines of the shed it had been trapped in and into freedom.
Stories like this remind us that animals are capable of feeling deep emotions and genuinely caring for and forming bonds with others outside of their species. Watch this video to experience the heartwarming moment when an animal in need is helped out by an unlikely hero.

Thank you for sharing this !
WONDERFUL.
Thanks for sharing.
Please! That is insulting to anyone’s intelligence. Most Lady Freethinker articles are good and I sign many petitions but this is ridiculous and to conclude that animals experience deep emotions as evidenced from this video makes for serious credibility issues.
This video doesn’t show “deep emotion” but a bond that exists between two pets. I’ve seen this on some occasions with my own when they sense something may be wrong with one or another.
You really don’t know what those animals experienced or that almost everything living has feelings of love, loneliness, sadness, fear, etc. This was an example of animal devotion for one another and the compassion of the cat’s rabbit friend. All of ladyfreethinkers’ petitions are important. They let the sane population know about the irrational and insane acts performed by those human mutants and perhaps the word will get out to the local officials. It’s people like you who probably support the murdering of animals for sport, whose head is to be on some idiot’s wall. Only those who truly care about animals would understand this video.
Deine Familie muss auf die gleiche weisse Sterben .Es muss die Todesstrafe für solche Menschen im Gestzt verankert werden.Den kein Mensch auf Erden hat das Recht dazu Gottes Tiere zu misshandeln egal wie.
Stimmt!
Such a lovely story. Thank you.
Good point, Beth, I wondered the same thing.
What is important is that this video succeeds in demonstrating the compassion of the rabbit and his or her willingness to put in the effort to rescue his or her distressed friend, and the gratitude of the kitten by the extension of the paw, and the immediate use of the new passage.
Take that, ship of fools in the British Parliament, that refused in their ignorance and lack of compassion, to acknowledge that animals are thinking and feeling creatures.
I’d go so far as to say that these two beasts are superior in all ways to many of the people that we read about on the Lady Freethinker site.
Very true Joan. Animals are far more compassionate beings than humans.
While it was a cute video, I can’t help wonder, if the kitten was truly stuck in the shed, why didn’t the person filming get her/him out? Just saying!
I agree Beth. The two animals are obviously bonded. It’s a nice sentiment, but the video perpetrates a ruse.
I really don’t think the kitten was stuck, but the rabbit believed it might’ve been
How in the world do you know if the cat was stuck or not? Even if it wasn’t, the fact remains that the rabbit perceived it as such and orchestrated the rescue.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY. I FIND ANIMALS HEARTS ARE BIGGER THAN MOST HUMANS. ANIMALS OF ALL KINDS ARE AWESOME!!!!!
So beautiful! And to think there are humans who think nothing of harming animals in the most vicious vile way possible!! Even using these sweet little creatures( rabbits) in experiments!!!!
ADORABLES!
God bless this little bunny!! What a wonderful friendship!! We have so.much to.learn from these beautiful friends.
Animals are filled with love and kindness. What a beautiful story. Humans take note. Choose kindness.
Aww Now this is what I call a “feel good” video how heart warming.
Take care Coreen
THIS IS WHAT I CALL LOVE AND CAREING.
That story about the rabbit saving the kitty was heartwarming!!
This is all normal stuff; let us not forget that.
Hi Dawn For animals yes it is if only humans could be as kind but I sure don’t see that happening anytime soon.
Take care Coreen
I AGREE WITH YOU 1000 %.GOD BLESS
I agree with you, Coreen. Very nicely said.
I disagree, Dawn. This is not “all normal stuff” as you’ve stated. Rabbits do not go around rescuing cats or any other animal in the wild. If this is all normal, why isn’t the same heroic acts perpetrated in the wild? I am an avid hiker and I’ve rescued many rabbits, squirrels, and even birds while their counterparts looked on. Unless you have been out there like I have and came across an animal in distress, don’t say “it’s all normal stuff” because it isn’t. Although the drive may be there to recscue their animal friend, “how do to it” becomes a hindrance.
