When a kitten got its head stuck in the base of a basketball hoop, firefighters from Louisiana’s St. Tammany Fire District #1 were quick to the scene. Using pliers to expand the opening the kitten had gotten trapped in, they gently freed him. Despite being understandably nervous, the adorable kitten was uninjured.
Dealing with the unexpected is part of a firefighter’s job, but coming home from work with a new family member certainly isn’t. However, one of the kitten’s rescuers went above and beyond the call of duty when he decided to provide the animal with a forever home.
This was one emergency call that had an unusually happy and heartwarming ending!
