A group of tourists in South Africa got a big surprise from a baby rhino who came running down the road, headed straight for their safari vehicle.
As this video from Nat Geo shows, the calf made some moves to charge, but quickly realized this was no fair match and went scampering away. He did return (with more caution) to approach the vehicle playfully, to the delight of the tourists.
Sadly, these incredible animals are in peril and need our help to survive. Rhinos are brutally poached for their horns, which sell for a high price on the illegal market. Conservationists and governments are working to save the rhino, and with education we can stop consumers from buying rhino horn and drive down demand.

Unfortunately humans are the curse of God on the earth.
What an adorable little fellow ! So cute and bouncy ! Full of life ! I hope we will grow up and learn, learn to respect all forms of life on this planet !!!
What a beautiful sight — baby rhino is adorable and oh so happy.
It is very sad that animals must be terrified of humans or they risk becoming part of our consumption chain.
Wouldn’t have thought a baby could run that fast. He is really sweet. Poachers are the scum of the earth, and perhaps I shouldn’t admit this, but I celebrate whenever one of them is killed.
I’m with you Cindi, it’s Karma’s sweet revenge when a poacher get’s killed! Too bad there aren’t more of them biting the dust.
Me too Cindi………ME TOO!!!
Protéger les animaux et condamner tous les tortionnaires de prison ferme !
What a cute little fella. I hope he gets to grow up. I hope his horns will never be poached.
He or she just had a new toy to play with, would love a cuddle from him. I was amazed at the size of the feet!
Please the madness must end!
