A Florida man neglected his two-year-old dog so badly that the animal faded away to nothing more than skin and bones. The dog was chained in the yard without any food or water and looked like a walking skeleton by the time help arrived.
Animal Control Officers in Okeechobee County, Florida, found the dog – named Frog – in the backyard. He was extremely emaciated and dehydrated and later tested positive for heartworm.
The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Bradley James Chism for the crime and charged him with animal cruelty. He remains in custody with a $500 bond.
Chism could spend up to five years in jail and receive a $5,000 fine if convicted.
If local sheriffs hadn’t rescued Frog, he would likely have starved to death in Chism’s care. This sweet dog is lucky to be alive and deserves a good life.
We must speak out to save other dogs from this cruelty.
