Filbert, an aging pony, spent his terrifying final moments in agonizing pain as an unknown attacker mutilated and beat him to death in a remote field in northern England. The perpetrator left Filbert’s lifeless corpse near a roadside, where his devastated family found his remains, according to BBC.
The suspect(s) in this horrifying case hasn’t yet been found. Authorities are investigating the unprovoked killing. They warned horse and pony guardians in the area to vigilantly protect their beloved animal companions due to the violent nature of the disturbing crime.
Filbert deserves justice. Whoever brutally bludgeoned this defenseless pony must be stopped before more innocent animals are harmed or killed. Sign this petition urging the West Yorkshire Police to use all available resources to find and charge the individual(s) responsible for this abhorrent act of cruelty as soon as possible.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the RSPCA at 0300 123 8018 or the West Yorkshire Police via 101. Please reference log number 871.
