Two dogs died in small, filthy crates after being dumped near a roadside in Vance County, N.C.
Heartbreaking images posted to Facebook by the county animal shelter show the deceased canines folded in on themselves in the too-small enclosures, with one of the dogs laying in what appears to be his own waste.
A passerby discovered the crates semi-concealed in some brush. Authorities are investigating this horrific crime but have not yet made any arrests.
There is no excuse for discarding innocent animals like trash. Whoever abandoned or killed these defenseless dogs must answer for their actions.
Sign this petition urging the Vance County Sheriff’s Office to use all available resources to find and charge the suspect(s) in this appalling act of cruelty.
