A tiny kitten was rescued after being stranded for almost 15 hours on a bridge.
The adorable kitten, who became stuck on a three-story support beam beneath a bridge in Dallas, Texas, is safe today thanks to the determination and teamwork of rescuers, according to local news.
Dallas Animal Services worked throughout the morning alongside Dallas Fire-Rescue in an effort to retrieve the vulnerable feline.
Rescuers lowered a cage from the top of the bridge to the column, and the kitten finally stepped inside at around 11 a.m. They safely lifted her to safety, turning a tense and dangerous situation into a happy conclusion.
After her rescue, the kitten was fittingly named Skyline.
Despite the frightening ordeal, the adorable animal is reportedly doing well in her new foster home, and has received numerous adoption applications.
Although it’s unclear how Skyline got onto the bridge in the first place, her future now looks far brighter as she is primed for a loving forever home.
Lady Freethinker is grateful to the responders whose careful efforts and cooperation brought Skyline to safety, and gave her the chance to begin a new chapter.
