An Oregon man convicted of participating in the creation of online videos of monkeys being tortured, mutilated, and killed has been sentenced to four years in federal prison, as reported by KOIN News.

The official press release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Oregon stated that David Christopher Noble of Prineville, OR pleaded guilty to conspiring to engage in the horrific act of animal crushing as well as creating and distributing animal crush videos.

The former United States Air Force officer also administered an online group “wherein members would raise funds to produce, discuss ideas for, and share animal abuse videos,” the release stated.

For years, Lady Freethinker has worked with Action for Primates to investigate monkey torture groups and their innocent victims. The severity of this sentence demonstrates the progress we can make when working together to expose cruelty and hold individuals accountable for their crimes against animals.

“The victims in this case cannot speak for themselves, but the impact of the grotesque violence brought upon them is unmistakable,” said Nathan J. Lichvarcik, Chief of the U.S. Attorney’s Office Eugene and Medford Branch Offices.

“At the direction of David Noble and his co-conspirators, the producers of these animal abuse videos not only killed monkeys but did so in a way that extended their pain and suffering as long as possible,” Lichvarcik continued. “Today’s sentence should make it clear to others engaged in this heinous conduct that they will be held responsible for their crimes.”

Lady Freethinker supports prosecuting any individual who intentionally participates in animal cruelty to the fullest extent of the law. We welcome the justice for animals delivered by the judge, prosecutors, and members of law enforcement involved in this case.
