A 35-year-old woman in Jacksonville, Florida, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to create and distribute monkey torture videos, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Devilbiss is awaiting sentencing, but could face up to five years in federal prison.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) first received information about Nicole Devilbiss, who acted as a social media admin in a monkey torture group, in September 2023. The group was found to have contributed to the killing and torture of baby and adult monkeys by funding the violence and spreading the videos to buyers and viewers in the U.S.

A federal search warrant led law enforcement to uncover a large number of “monkey crushing” videos from several of her electronic devices.

Devilbiss was also found to have sent three payments for monkey torture videos from April 2022 to May 2023.

“Animal crushing” is a term used in federal criminal law to describe when live animals are “purposely crushed, burned, drowned, suffocated, impaled, or otherwise subjected to serious bodily injury.”

Devilbiss shared “dozens” of  monkey torture videos to the group and wrote comments in which she appeared to take pleasure from the visible fear on the tortured monkeys’ faces, according to court documents.

Lady Freethinker’s continued efforts to expose and stop the heinous monkey torture industry have been followed by criminal charges and the removal of several monkey torture groups from social media platforms.

We urge our supporters to report animal cruelty videos but avoid watching, commenting, sharing, or interacting with animal torture videos to prevent inadvertently boosting these posts’ visibility and views for these appalling groups.
