When people living in an apartment in Norfolk, Virginia started hearing pitiful meows emanating from the walls this week, they were rather confused. The residents searched in vain for five days, unable to pinpoint the location of the clearly distressed kitty.
Finally, after days of moving around, the trapped cat stayed put in the wall space behind a bathroom cabinet, where the concerned animal lovers quickly tore the walls apart to get to her.
The gorgeous, fluffy, tabby kitten was promptly retrieved and is now recovering nicely in the good hands of the Norfolk Animal Control Center. It is unknown how she became trapped or if she had an owner, but the center says she will be available for adoption from August 30th.
Thank you, rescuers, for saving this kitten — even though it meant tearing up your home to do it.
