Non-profit organization Animal Outlook recently kicked off its annual VegWeek campaign to inspire people around the globe to go vegan for a week to celebrate Earth Day.

Launched during Earth Week and running until April 26, VegWeek 2020 highlights the positive impact a vegan diet can have on our health, the planet and the welfare of animals. The campaign aims to encourage people to take the 7-Day VegPledge as a way to discover the delightfulness of plant-based eating.

Last year, stars from around the world, including Alicia Silverstone, Dotsie Bausch, Jenna McDougall, Mya, Richard Marx and Tia Blanco, helped keep VegWeek pledgers motivated. And this year, a new Facebook support group will help bolster those on their vegan journey and keep everyone inspired.

“VegWeek brings together thousands of people for a week of fighting climate change with our forks by choosing delicious vegan meals and Animal Outlook serves up resources, from recipes to videos and more, to fuel pledgers through their 7-day VegPledge and beyond,” explained Animal Outlook’s Director of Marketing Eric C Lindstrom. “This year we’re excited to launch the Facebook support group, which will be monitored by Animal Outlook staff, as a way to stay even more connected year-round.”

VegWeek participants will have access to a number of resources, including exclusive discounts on plant-based food and tasty recipes, to help them achieve their goals and hopefully turn those pledges into lifelong commitments.

There is no better way to celebrate Earth Week and Earth Day than to stop supporting the unsustainable meat and dairy industries and to switch to a plant-based diet for the health of our planet and those who live on it — both animals and humans.
