In war-torn Ukraine, animals displaced by conflict are finding healing and hope — thanks in part to Lady Freethinker supporters.

At the LFT–sponsored Fluffy Pants shelter, kittens Belka and Strelka arrived frightened and fragile. After receiving veterinary care and compassion, they’re finally starting to trust people again. Today, they spend their days napping, playing, and enjoying the comfort and security they once lacked — hopefully, soon finding loving families to give them forever homes.

Outside the shelter, rescued dogs Brus and Thor — best friends who were saved together — can be found lounging in the shade. With food, safety, and care provided by dedicated rescuers, these two pals are in good hands.

Built in Ukraine last year with funding from Lady Freethinker, Fluffy Pants shelter continues to provide life-saving refuge for dogs and cats displaced by war. The project is run in partnership with the local organization Dobri Vchynky Razom, which has cared for thousands of animals through feeding programs for strays, provided veterinary treatment for injuries, and offered safe housing for rescued dogs and cats.

With your help, LFT can continue to support the development of projects like these, helping to care for animals in need worldwide.
