Two visually-impaired kittens in Tennessee who formed an inseparable bond like brothers have found their forever family, The News & Observer reported.
The kittens — named Radar and Hawkeye — both came to the Sevier County Humane Society from another shelter with unexplained eye injuries when they were 10 weeks old. The severity of Radar’s eye issues required both eyes to be removed. On the other hand, Hawkeye lost one eye, and the other remains cloudy.
“They are not siblings but have been together throughout their ordeal, find comfort in each other’s company, and would benefit from being adopted together,” Sevier County Humane Society wrote in a captioned photo of the kittens on Facebook.
That wish came true when a determined woman from Georgia saw the kittens on a social media post from the shelter and reached out to them.
“Despite encountering various obstacles due to the inclement weather, she persevered and eventually met the boys, leading to a loving adoption,” shelter staff wrote in their newsletter.
The woman, who has experience caring for blind cats like Hawkeye and Radar, was the perfect choice to become the boys’ new guardian. Best of all, the inseparable pair will be able to strengthen their bond as they grow up together in a loving home.
