As often happens, firefighters came to the rescue of a kitten in trouble; but there’s a twist to this familiar story – the kitten was not stuck up a tree, but thoroughly trapped inside the engine compartment of a car.
The Henderson Fire Department in Kentucky received a call for help at 7 am on June 12th from the Wagner family, who discovered that a kitten had squeezed its way under the hood of their car and couldn’t get out.
Two kind men from Station 3 did not hesitate in packing their tools and, with the help of Mr Wagner, made short work of dismantling the engine compartment to free the adorable grey kitten, who was no worse off for the experience.
Although the Wagner family were happy to care for the adventurous kitten short-term, she was adopted the very next day.
