Many consider Mufasa’s tragic death in the Disney classic “The Lion King” to be among the saddest moments in cinematic history. One four-month-old pit bull, named Luna, seems to agree.
When Josh Myers and Hannah Huddleston of Chattanooga, Tennessee watched the film with Luna, the pup played with her toys until she saw the tragic scene. Then, in a moving display of human-like emotion, Luna cried out and looked visibly distraught.
Myers caught the touching moment on camera and posted the video to Facebook. In the caption, he wrote: “To see her crying at the TV was the sweetest thing I think I’ve ever seen. She even lays down right after Simba lays with his dad … We don’t deserve dogs.”
The video has since gone viral and garnered nearly six million views. Luna’s tearful reaction to the heartbreaking scene reminds us that dogs are just like us, and feel empathy in a very real way.
So very touching.
Awww! See ! Animals have feelings !
They certainly do feel just like us.
What a pity there was no sound 🙁
I heard the dog crying ….
hermosa que bebe tan preciosa no entiendo cómo puede haber personas que los lastimen y maten por favor está demostrado que también sienten y sufren
This really demonstrates that dogs and cats have emotions and empathy. I am touched by the sadness of this sensitive, sweet little dear. And a pit bull, at that. Goes to prove how wrong the stereotype is!! This empathetic, sweet little dear. God Bless him. And God Bless the owners, too. Thank you so very much.
What a sweet little dog. It really goes to demonstrate that animals, certainly dogs ( acts, too, by the way) have empathy and emotions. Very touching. Hard to watch. I an still weeping, but it’s tears of empathy. Thank you. God Bless this precious little dog.
So cute! ❤️🐶
What a beautiful and touching story this is. If this doesn’t prove that animals are sentient beings I don’t know what will. 🐶🐕🐾❤❤❤
Animals are SO much more human than humans! They are sweet, innocent and compassionate and some people treat them like trash. Wouldn’t it be funny if animals could be our Judge on judgement day? Think about it.
Awww, such a sweet dog Luna is. I agree with Luna. I heard about Mafusa dying and elected not to see the movie. Much too sad for me.
Amazing ❗️

The dog is not crying, he is whining because he wants to get the animals on the screen.
