Cats are terrific at climbing up trees — but getting back down is a whole other story. And if you’ve ever had a kitty trapped in branches high above your head, you know the sinking feeling.
If you live in Western Washington, though, you and your wayward feline climber are in luck. The daring team at Canopy Cat Rescue — a nonprofit that charges zero fees for its services — will come fetch your beloved kitty from any height.
Thank you, Tom Otto and Saun Sears of Canopy Cat Rescue for saving the cats of Washington!

Thank you to all of you — job well done by all — I’m convinced the kitties adore you all — again, THANK YOU for your dedication, rationality and compassion.
Thank you gentlemen!
It is people like Tom Otto and Saun Sears of Canopy Cat Rescue who are the heros of our world, doing such marvelous work and not expecting a reward. Good for you guys!
There are good men in this world. Thank you for helping not only the cats but their distraught owners.
As a former volunteer fire fighter I helped rescue several cats from trees and powerpoles. My question is this if the cats are not rescued (some must be missed) what happens to them? As anyone seen cat skeletons in the branches, or do they eventually cotton on and make their own way down?
God bless these guys so nice to see caring people I see SO much abuse that people do to animals. They had them on television I wish they would put this program back on the air.
These guys are Angels what is needed more of in this horrible world I pray for blessings to come to them I wish I could personally thank them ????????????????????????????????????
Thanks, guys! You’re heroes.
WONDERFUL men, we need more like them.
God bless you <3 Saun and Otto : you are true Heros ~ <3
SILENT HEROES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Real Men love and rescue Cats!!!!
Thanks, guys, for all you do <3
A Huge Thank You to ALL of those Cat Rescue Heroes <3 <3 <3
Like Barry, I do hope that some of these folks try to compensate Tom and Shaun for their selfless rescues, if not with money, then with an invitation to dinner, or something similar. Saying thanks just doesn’t seem to be enough.
I guess I have seen maybe one cat stuck in a tree in my 75 years. Very difficult to believe that they have rescued thousands. They must have placed them there or chased them up the tree.
These guys are my heroes.
Thank you for all you do.
You are very special. ????????
On behalf of all the cats you hsve selflessly rescued a big thanku Tom and Saun for all unpaid hard work. Keep up the good work.
Thank God, something nice that DOESN,t make me puke and cry. God bless them all.
My heroes!????????
Excellent to see the paying it forward that these two gentlemen do. They should be compensated for their efforts in some way and I hope the people do something for them for that very effort. Glad to see a happy video.
