Not many people would willingly enter a nuclear fallout zone after everyone else had evacuated. But Naoto Matsumura is no ordinary person — he is a hero.
When Japan’s Fukushima disaster struck, everyone fled — including Matsumura, at first. But this brave man returned to the evacuated zone to help his own animals, which he had been forced to leave behind, and ended up staying to take care of the other abandoned animals, too.
When asked about the radiation, Matsumura said experts “told me that I wouldn’t get sick for 30 or 40 years. I’ll most likely be dead by then anyway, so I couldn’t care less.”
We hope Matsumura lives a long, happy life in the company of the animals he so lovingly risks his own health to help.
God Bless you Mr. Matsumura, you are a true hero!
He is a true champion!
You know, the emerging science of epigenetics shows us that our minds can actually control our healing and whether we get sick or not. The fact that this man “doesn’t care” whether he gets sick could very well be the protection he needs for his body to NOT get sick.
I wish they had included a link for donating to him.
Fantastic MAN. True bloody HERO.
Mr. Matsumura, you are one of the most selfless, caring humans to exist on Earth. It is shameful that the government forced humans to abandon their pets. Maybe, these govt. officials should be the individuals, in the hot zone, that takes care of the pets.
What an extraordinary person you are, kind and loving!
God bless this noble man.
Brave and good man.
This man is amazing although knowing how much I too love animals I probably would have done the same thing gone back. He has the BEST attitude knowing who cares in 30-40 years he will probably be gone anyway up in heaven with all the animals. God Bless him so much.and may he enjoy the rest of his life with all of Gods’ creatures which are so much better than the human race will ever be. I love stories like this one.
Domo Allegato, Matsumoto San, you are a child of God living with HIS VISION. Bless you and the animals of Fukushima. <3
What a most wonderful person!!! I’m so so grateful for people like him. He’s a great asset to the human species. For the life of me I can’t understand why people left their animals behind to die. Would they have left their children? When you take in animals you are responsible for them. You don’t leave them behind in a disaster. This man held true. What an incredible ANGEL!!!!!! Thank you!!!
Namaste????,,,Matsumura
First your are a selfless man, whom knows what is important in life. Much gratitude and blessings may come your way.
A donation from pet suppliers, encouraging this marvelous compassion, to be ongoing. Including spaying & neutering, is logical.
THE GALARNEAU FAMILY
What a wonderful caring brave man to help all these animals.
I’m surprised more people have not joined him in order to help these animals. How can we donate to him?
