VIDEO: Friendly Seal Pup Photo Bombs Diver for the Ultimate Selfie

Diver Dan Patterson was being filmed exploring the waters off the Farne Islands, England when a very friendly seal swooped in and stole the show.

Eager for some gentle head rubbing — and apparently, some screen time — the playful seal just couldn’t seem to get enough attention.

The Farne Islands are known for their abundant grey seal population, with hundreds of pups born every autumn. Seals in the area are referred to as “underwater Labradors” for their affectionate behavior.

While wildlife should generally never be approached or handled for selfies (or any other reason), in this rare case it was the seal who insisted. And who could say no to that face?

I was just thinking (for some crazy reason). I wonder if a leopard seal would show a human this much love? Then I thought about their teeth and figured a Great White would be preferred over a leopard seal. LOL
Yea, sometimes I just think odd things.

This is so cute, how lucky is this diver. I am going to get certified to dive soon. I want to dive with whales so bad I cannot stand it. Oh and look down fish; they are one of my favorites. And of course these seals. Okay, all the animals in the sea is fine with me. I love them all.
