Baby elephant Dok Geaw lost his mother at just 4 months old after she passed away from a prolapsed uterus. She was a “working elephant” used for logging, and was kept working even after she gave birth — and denied medical treatment until it was too late.
Despite Dok Geaw’s tragic loss, life is going to get much better for this orphan. When Elephant Nature Park in Thailand took him in, his new herd gave him a warm welcome, running over en masse to say hello.
Best of luck in your new home, Dok Geaw!

THANK YOU for being there for these vulnerable, majestic animals — they’re so beautiful — PLEASE educate all those who own elephants NOT to abuse and run them into the ground, as was the case with baby elephant, Dok Geaw’s mother — this is indeed heartbreaking — again, THANK YOU to this wonderful Elephant Rehab Center — you’re the best.
Oh wow! I am so moved. What a video.
Do you ever think that the world would be a better place if Elephants ruled the world??
They have feelings, too many humans deny this. How sickening and tragic to work the mom and refuse medical treatment. I wish this baby and all the others a happy safe life.
What a lovely video. Humans could take a leaf out of these elephants book!
Wooow
Shows you that animals are more loving and caring towards each other than people even think to be. That was beautiful. I can imagine that baby elephant is going to have a loving family to look forward to. That is until humans interfere and decide to take it away as it gets older. I hope the people who worked the mother to death and didn’t provide medical treatment is being punished. I really just can’t believe the human race.
Beautiful!
BEAUTY in ACTION!
what a loving, touching image showing love to orphaned elephant.
what a loving herd to meeting the new baby.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT.
Great. This young elephant will not be overworked to death. Good news.
