A stray mother dog and her two-week-old puppies were reportedly surrounded by four boys under the age of 14 in Jieyang, China, who then repeatedly beat them with wooden sticks before stabbing the puppies to death, according to local news.
Refusing to abandon her puppies even after the attack, the mother dog remained at the scene, where the boys allegedly doused her with gasoline and set her ablaze, causing her to run around and scream in agony as she burned alive.
As if the brutality itself were not enough, the group reportedly laughed throughout the attack, recorded the violence, and shared the footage online to boast about the suffering they had inflicted on this innocent family of dogs.
While the boys have reportedly been sent to a special school for corrective education, authorities must take every available step to ensure meaningful accountability, help secure justice for these dogs, and prevent such horrific acts from happening again.
