PETITION TARGET: New Haven Police Department and the Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter
Six vulnerable newborn puppies — believed to be less than a day old — were allegedly abandoned in a basket beside a dumpster outside a condominium complex in New Haven, Connecticut, according to local news. Tragically, two of the pups did not survive.
The four remaining puppies are now receiving around-the-clock care from a rescue in the area, but they never should have been put in such danger.
These fragile animals deserved the warmth, nourishment, and irreplaceable care of their mother, not to be discarded like trash and left fighting for their lives.
An investigation is reportedly underway to identify whoever abandoned these innocent puppies, and it’s critical that authorities take this case seriously to help ensure accountability and prevent similar acts of cruelty in the future.
Sign our petition urging authorities to thoroughly investigate this case and find the person or persons who may have abandoned these puppies.
Desmond’s Army Animal Law Advocates is offering a $5,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest of whoever is responsible. Anyone with information can contact the Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter at 203-946-8110.
