PETITION TARGET: State Police Commissioner Robert Evanchick
UPDATE (11/10/2023): This tragic case has been closed after police were not able to connect anyone to this crime, an animal cruelty officer with the Pennsylvania State Police told Lady Freethinker. The investigator said they’d re-open it should any new information come to light, and the listing remains open on Pennsylvania Crime Stopper’s website. We are disappointed that no one was held accountable for the death of this sweet cow, and we hope she is now at peace. We will keep fighting for animals.
Crying out in agonizing pain at her caretaker’s feet, a pregnant cow bled to death after being shot with a rifle in rural Pennsylvania.
In her final moment, she desperately looked toward an 85-year-old farmer for help, but he was unable to save the wounded cow.
Sadly, another cow was brutally gunned down near the road on the same farm, according to reports.
State police believe the two innocent creatures were killed sometime between Friday evening on February 7 and Saturday morning the next day. They are still searching for a suspect.
The person responsible for mercilessly killing these poor animals must be found and prevented from harming anyone else. Sign this petition urging State Police Commissioner Robert Evanchick to use all available resources to find the perpetrator of this heinous crime.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the Somerset state police barracks at (814)-445-4104.
