PETITION TARGET: Gentry Police Department
Three puppies, so young their eyes were still closed, cried for help after they were discarded in a dumpster behind an Arkansas Dollar General Market, in an area of the state recording temperatures in the low 30s, per local KNWA.
The helpless puppies’ cries were heard by a compassionate market employee, who notified authorities. The days-old puppies were found inside a feed sack in the outdoor dumpster, according to the Gentry Police Department.
“I’m sure you were aware of the freeze warning last night when you opted to throw these babies out like trash,” wrote Gentry Police on Facebook, directly addressing the individual(s) responsible for dumping the dogs.
These three defenseless puppies — taken from their mother far too soon — were transported to a rescue center for treatment. Now they need us to be their voices.
We thank police for taking this case seriously and urge them to identify the perpetrator, find out if any other animals may be in danger, and work to achieve justice for the victims.
Sign our petition asking Gentry Police Department to please use all resources necessary to find the individual(s) who put these days-old puppies in a sack and threw them outside in the trash.
The Gentry Police Department requests anyone with information about this case to call them directly at 479-736-8400.
