PETITION TARGET: Metropolitan Police Service (MPS)
Helplessly bleeding to death for several days, one innocent fox suffered in excruciating pain with an arrow lodged into the side of his body. Rescuers tried their best to save the fox’s life, rushing him to the hospital for emergency veterinary care, but it was too late. The young fox died.
This devastating tragedy marks one of three likely connected incidents near Blackheath, London. Over the course of a few days, two other foxes were found dead, one with an arrow similarly sticking out of his body, according to BBC News.
“It is obvious that whoever did this did so deliberately,” said Conchi Gago of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) Wildlife Crime Unit.
These defenseless animals deserve protection from extreme cruelty, and whoever is illegally targeting foxes with a deadly crossbow must answer for their serious crimes before any more animals are harmed or killed.
Sign this petition urging the Metropolitan Police to use all available resources to identify and charge the individual(s) responsible for these horrifying and senseless acts of abuse.
