PETITION TARGET: Fort Worth Police Department
Eight puppies were found whimpering helplessly inside a trash can in a park in Fort Worth, Texas, according to local news. The innocent pups had apparently been abandoned — as if their lives had no value.
A man sitting on a nearby bench heard the puppies crying and discovered them desperately trying to climb out of the trash. He swiftly took them out and brought them to safety. At the Humane Society of North Texas, it was revealed that the pups — only about seven or eight weeks old — were hungry, thirsty, and were infested with parasites. Some of them also had upper respiratory infections.
Thankfully, they were rescued, received veterinary treatment, and are recovering — but they never should have been tossed like trash.
The person responsible for discarding these vulnerable puppies has yet to be identified.
Sign this petition urging the Fort Worth Police Department to investigate thoroughly to find whoever is responsible for abandoning these eight puppies to prevent more animals from being harmed.
