PETITION TARGET: East Hartford Animal Control
Three tiny kittens, believed to be only 3½ to 4 weeks old, were found trapped in a dumpster in East Hartford, Connecticut, after someone allegedly dumped them in a box as if they were garbage, according to local news.
Too young to fend for themselves, the vulnerable kittens were reportedly left in a situation that could have cost them their lives had they not been discovered in time.
Abandoning these helpless kittens in the trash demonstrated a shocking disregard for their welfare, especially given the many humane alternatives available for unwanted animals.
Unfortunately, no one has been identified in connection with this apparent act of animal cruelty, making it critical that authorities act swiftly to help ensure whoever is responsible is held accountable.
Sign our petition urging East Hartford Animal Control to thoroughly investigate this case and identify the person or persons who abandoned these kittens.
A $5,000 reward is being offered by Desmond’s Army for information that helps identify, arrest, and prosecute the offender. Tips can be submitted anonymously to East Hartford Animal Control at 860-291-7572.
