PETITION TARGETS: Henderson Animal Protection Services and the Clark County District Attorney’s Office

Six dead cats lay in a freezer while many others endured apparent breeding-related illnesses and physical abnormalities at a home in Henderson, Nevada, according to local news.

Of the 21 Sphynx cats rescued from the operation, five kittens suffered seizures caused by serious illnesses and deteriorating health before tragically dying — with some so gravely ill they passed away within 24 hours of being taken into custody.

Another rescued cat, a severely overbred female, previously had to have an eye removed after an infection reportedly went untreated.

Disturbingly, the surviving cats face contagious illnesses that can last a lifetime.

In addition to the cats found at the residence, complaints alleged that other cats the breeder sold were sick and died soon after being purchased.

These heartbreaking deaths and the prospect of lifelong illnesses for the surviving cats underscore the cruelty allegedly inflicted by this breeder and the inherent harm of treating animals as products to breed and sell.

Sign our petition urging Henderson Animal Protection Services to investigate this case thoroughly and the Clark County District Attorney’s Office to pursue all appropriate animal cruelty charges supported by the evidence.
