PETITION TARGET: DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston
At least three tiny kittens — only about eight weeks old — were allegedly thrown from a minivan traveling through Brookhaven, Georgia, leaving one of the innocent babies dead in the roadway and another seriously traumatized, with a dislocated tail and scratches on his ear, according to local news.
These vulnerable animals deserved love, comfort, and safety but were instead sent flying from a moving vehicle onto the hard ground below as though their lives meant nothing.
Although a suspect has been arrested and faces a felony charge of animal cruelty, this case is far from over. Prosecutors must treat it with the seriousness it demands and seek penalties that reflect the severity of the suffering these kittens endured.
Sign our petition urging the DeKalb County District Attorney to prosecute the individual responsible to the fullest extent of the law — including mandating intensive psychological intervention and a ban on having animals.
