PETITION TARGET: Brian Haas, State Attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida
A scene of horrific suffering was reportedly uncovered at a Davenport, Florida, property, where one dog was allegedly left to die and decompose in a kennel, four malnourished puppies were found covered in feces and infested with parasites, and another parasite-ridden dog was reduced to skin and bones, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
These innocent animals, entirely dependent on humans for their survival and well-being, deserved consistent access to nutritious food, proper shelter, and sanitary living conditions — not to be neglected until they wasted away in misery.
A suspect connected to this case has been arrested and charged with 10 counts of animal cruelty and neglect. Now, prosecutors must treat these allegations seriously to help prevent future suffering.
Sign our petition urging the State Attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida to treat this case with the severity it deserves — including mandating intensive psychological intervention and a ban on having animals.
