Koko the Gorilla has a message for humanity. In a PSA made for the COP21 Climate Conference in Paris, Koko speaks as the “voice of nature.”

A member of an endangered species, Koko is a unique environmental advocate.  She uses a modified version of American Sign Language to convey messages of conservation as part of the Gorilla Foundation.

Koko was briefed on climate change via an issue of National Geographic entitled “Cool it!”  There, she learned that carbon emissions have warmed the planet 1.5 degrees on average since the 19th century.  She also learned that man has the power to fix climate change from Germany’s success reducing green house emissions by 27% from 1990 to 2012.
