PETITION TARGET: Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon L. Taylor
A cat named Hayden was found to have a fractured skull and spine, several broken ribs, and appeared to have been drugged — all while being presented online as having cancer and only days left to live, according to local news.
Disturbingly, a man in Virginia allegedly tortured Hayden and other cats and posted hundreds of videos depicting them in severe distress to solicit money from viewers.
Over the past several years, the accused reportedly adopted roughly 30 cats to abuse. Two were later found dead — one with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, a four-story fall, or a dog attack, and another with injuries consistent with having their head stomped.
Adding to the horror, the man’s father is alleged to have acted as a co-conspirator, adopting the cats and then supplying them to his son.
While the alleged abuser is facing charges and his father has been arrested, this case must be treated with the seriousness it deserves to secure justice for these cats and prevent further cruelty.
Sign our petition urging Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney to prosecute the individuals responsible to the fullest extent of the law — including mandating intensive psychological intervention and a ban on having animals.
