Soon after his 4-month-old pet goat Sushi never showed up for his daily bottle-fed breakfast, Dr. Mark McIlwain learned of his grisly death when a local cemetery called to report they had discovered Sushi’s decapitated head.
McIlwain’s beloved pet went missing from his Tuscumbia, Ala. home, and his body has yet to be found. His severed head appears to have been cut off using a knife, according to Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan.
The heinous act has left local law enforcement, Sushi’s heartbroken family, and the rest of the community completely baffled.
Sushi deserves justice, and whoever is responsible for his death must be charged with animal cruelty.
Sign this petition urging the Tuscumbia Police Department to use all available resources to identify and charge the individual(s) behind this horrifying crime before anyone else is harmed or killed.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call the Tuscumbia Police Department at (256) 383-3121 or the Shoals Area CrimeStoppers tip line at (256) 386-8685. There is a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. You may report anonymously.
