A 10-month-old puppy was taken from his loving family and hanged to death in the woods behind their home in Benton County, Arkansas.
Chevy’s guardian, Paula McNeil, told 5 News that the beagle mix had been missing for several days after spending time in the yard with the family.
After scouring shelters searching for him, her children decided to look in the woods one last time. It was McNeil’s 14-year-old daughter who made the grisly discovery of the dog’s lifeless body hanging by a noose from a deer stand.
Understandably traumatized by the event, the family are calling for justice for their beautiful dog, who was an integral part of their life.
Anyone capable of murdering a beloved family pet in such a cruel way is a danger to both animals and humans, and the police need to put all their efforts into investigating this incident.
Sign the petition urging the Benton County Sheriff’s Office to use all available resources to find out who did this and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
