PETITION TARGET: New York District Attorney Lee Kindlon
Locked in a crate, starved for days, and set on fire — this is how a young pit bull suffered and was ultimately killed in Albany, New York — allegedly at the hands of her guardian, according to local news.
The discovery of the lifeless pup led to an investigation by Albany Police Department which uncovered the horror she endured. The one-year-old dog was reportedly found to have suffered senseless cruelty by being locked in a crate and deprived of food and water for several days. Finally, she was taken to a parking lot and, still in the crate, heartlessly set on fire.
Officers charged the puppy’s guardian with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, Arson, and Criminal Mischief, police confirmed in a statement on Facebook.
This innocent dog did not deserve to suffer such brutal torture and cruelty.
