Daisy, a Pitbull-mix puppy, was seen cowering in obvious fear as a man allegedly brutally beat her — in a shocking video that went viral on social media, according to local news.
The video shows a shirtless man walking a hesitant Daisy over to a brick wall. Immediately after she nervously sits down, he appears to yank her fur and suddenly beat her. The video cuts out right after the helpless dog is dragged by her back fur as she struggles to follow along on her front paws. The man has a tight hold on her leash, preventing her from getting away.
The incident happened in clear view of a church. Several concerned community members recorded the apparent abuse, and with the help of the SPCA’s animal cruelty helpline, Daisy was located by the Pennsylvania SPCA’s (PSPCA) Animal Law Enforcement Officers and signed over to the organization.
“The investigation remains open, and possible charges will be decided pending the results of the forensic examination,” PSPCA wrote on Facebook.
Despite the evidence, no one has been charged. Daisy’s alleged abuser is still walking around free, possibly able to adopt another dog. Thankfully, Daisy is now safe, according to a Facebook post by Pennsylvania SPCA. This sweet puppy deserves justice, though — and the person who allegedly beat her must be found.
