A helpless black kitten was found with her skin ripped from her chin and jaw – exposing bone – in an apartment in West Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania.
The 6-month-old cat was discovered by police responding to a call about a “jaguar” in an apartment, according to news. She was horrifically injured, appearing to have been partially skinned alive, and likely terrified.
Police also discovered a man in the apartment who appeared to have scratch and bite marks.
No kitten should suffer the pain or terror of having their skin torn from their face.
A man has been charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.
The kitten — now named Nakia — is reportedly recovering. She should never have been forced to endure such traumatic violence in the first place.
The person(s) responsible for inflicting this horrific injury on a kitten must be held accountable.
Sign the petition to urge the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office to prosecute the individual(s) responsible for this abuse to the fullest extent of the law, including intensive psychological intervention and a lifelong ban on having animals.
