PETITION TARGET: New South Wales Director of Public Prosecutions
Locked inside a sweltering metal bike locker at an Australian train station, two greyhounds barked desperately for help — but by the time authorities arrived, one had already died in the unbearable heat, according to People.
The surviving greyhound — trapped tragically beside their lifeless companion — was found barely clinging to life due to severe heatstroke. Despite being taken to a veterinarian for emergency care, the dog’s body had already begun to shut down, and they died as a result.
No animal should ever have to endure the fear, agony, and helplessness these dogs faced, confined in a suffocating container with no way to escape.
The man accused of causing this suffering now faces 10 animal cruelty charges — and he must be held fully accountable to deliver justice for these dogs and help prevent future harm.
Sign our petition urging the New South Wales Director of Public Prosecutions to help prosecute the individual responsible to the fullest extent of the law — including mandating intensive psychological intervention and a lifelong ban on having animals.
