PETITION TARGET: Maricopa County Attorney’s Office
Eight dogs were found living in deplorable conditions with no food and water in a Phoenix backyard.
On an unrelated call, Phoenix Police Officers passed by the resident’s backyard and witnessed the severe case of neglect. Dogs were chained to kennels, water buckets were empty, and there was no food seen in the yard, according to police video.
The dogs appeared “extremely” malnourished and in “bad living conditions”, according to ABC 15.
After realizing the horrific state of their condition, the Phoenix Police Department contacted the Arizona Humane Society. All eight dogs were removed and taken for immediate medical care.
The owner of the property and his sister were both arrested and are now facing 56 charges of animal cruelty, according to Fox 10.
The Phoenix PD released the body cam footage on social media, showing the unlivable conditions these innocent animals were forced to survive.
Sign our petition to urge the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office to prosecute the individual(s) responsible to the fullest extent of the law, including a lifelong ban on having animals.
