PETITION TARGET: Plymouth District Court Office
A 60-pound bull terrier named Brutus was poisoned and then stabbed to death by a man in Kingston, Massachusetts.
Police responded to a 911 call after neighbors reportedly heard noises from the accused perpetrator’s apartment, including screaming, crying, dog whining – then silence.
Police said that the man tried to poison the dog with fentanyl before impaling the dog to death with bent grill prongs.
The arrested man has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty as well as possession of fentanyl.
A judge has agree to have the accused man’s mental competency evaluated before proceeding with his trial.
No companion animal should ever have to suffer such violence — especially at the hands of the person they trust and love most.
Sign our petition urging the district attorney to treat this case with the severity it deserves — including intensive psychiatric intervention and a lifelong ban on having animals for the person responsible for violently killing this innocent dog.
