The emaciated body of a young pit bull — who appears to have starved to death — was found dumped and rotting inside a locked cage in a creek in Florida, according to First Coast News.
The young dog’s body had very little muscle and his stomach was empty — indicating the innocent dog likely endured long-term abuse and died from starvation before being dumped, according to forensic veterinarians and a detective from the Clay County Sherriff’s Office.
The innocent dog was likely only two to four years old.
No animal should suffer malnutrition or neglect, nor should they be dumped like trash.
Sign this petition calling on the Clay County Sheriff’s Office to fully investigate this case and apprehend the person(s) responsible — before they have the chance to harm another animal and/or human.
