PETITION TARGET: Galveston Police Department
Dozens of cats and dogs, emaciated and dehydrated, their fur drenched in urine with no access to food or water — these were the living conditions authorities discovered in a filthy and overcrowded school bus and van in Galveston, Texas, according to local news.
Trapped in tightly packed cages, surrounded by their own waste and debris, 71 dogs, cats, and puppies were found suffering from horrible neglect.
Twenty-two of them were brought to the Houston SPCA for veterinary evaluations, and the rest were placed in the care of the Galveston Island Humane Society.
It was discovered that one of the dogs had been missing for two months after wandering from his family’s home.
The woman allegedly responsible for inflicting this suffering has yet to be identified, and no charges have been filed.
These innocent animals were robbed of their dignity and denied even the most basic level of care.
Sign our petition urging the Galveston Police Department to investigate this case thoroughly to hold those responsible for causing this severe neglect accountable — before any other innocent animals are harmed.
