PETITION TARGET: Pittsburgh Police
Animals could be heard crying inside a house in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as the stench of urine and decay reached officers outside, according to CBS Pittsburgh. Upon entering, authorities reportedly found the vulnerable animals in deplorable conditions — thin, with matted fur soiled by waste and dirt.
Eleven dogs, two puppies, and a cat were removed from the filthy residence, but tragically, at least two other dogs were found dead inside.
Disturbingly, neighbors said no one had been seen at the house for at least a week, raising the possibility that these helpless animals had been abandoned in squalor for an extended period, without anyone to comfort them or ease their suffering.
While detectives are trying to determine who may have left these animals in such a dire state, no arrests have been made — making it critical that the investigation continues and that anyone found responsible for harming them is quickly located and charged.
Sign our petition urging authorities to thoroughly investigate this case, identify whoever was involved in the alleged neglect, and pursue all applicable animal cruelty charges.
