Five vulnerable kittens lost their lives in a heartbreaking incident near Birmingham, Alabama, after someone allegedly tossed them from a moving vehicle onto an interstate and they were struck by passing traffic, according to local news.

While a suspect has been arrested in connection with this case, it is crucial that prosecutors treat it with the seriousness it deserves and seek penalties that reflect the severity of the suffering these innocent kittens endured.
